Miss Borneo Tuner 2012 Audition Is ON!!!

Hey readers!! I'm going to share a new upcoming audition that will be happening on 15th September 2012!  Its gonna be a chance for you to be FEATURE in the front cover of Borneo Tuner Magazine, cool isn't it!! Imagine YOU front cover for a magazine? Now you starting to imagine it right, hahaha. Here's some of the details 

AUDITIONS

Venue: Party Play Gaya Street 

Date: 15th September 2012 (Saturday) 

 Time: 2pm - 4pm. 

REQUIREMENTS 

- Age: 17 - 23 years old

- Height:  Above 160cm

- Fresh Faces ONLY (If you never joined any competition before,

 wanted to try new things and interested, 

then this is the perfect audition to choose!)

- High heel stilettos (4 inch or higher)

- Natural makeup (go easy on the makeup, you don't wanna

look like a clown for the audition)  

To those who are interested to go, I'd say is a good chance to try your luck and do your best cause it's a fresh faces only which I believe you can go through it :D Yakin ja ba, hehehe. Below is the actual advertisement 

Start date will be on the 15th sep 2012 and final will be on 30th Sep 2012. You're wondering why does it take too long for the final right. Well, within the week you will be having activities and yes subsidiaries tittle are include such as Miss Commercial, Miss Photogenic and Miss Autoshow (subsidiaries tittle that was stated). Following are the activities :

> Commercial shooting with guest videographer (Miss Commercial)

    Photography session with guest photographer (Miss Photogenic)

> Dinner with main sponsor @ Party Play lifestyle cafe Gaya Street

   (18th September 2012, Tuesday) 

> Miss Borneo Tuner social night @ Chocolate Factory

   (19th September 2012, Wednesday) 

> Talent night @ Chocolate Factory

   (21st September 2012, Friday)

> Miss Borneo Tuner Swimwear @ Le Meridien Poolside & Le Meridien KK's Youth Talent Appearance 

   (23rd September 2012, Sunday)

> Auto Photoshoot and Press Conference @ Volkswagen KK Showroom

   (24th September 2012, Monday)

> Autoshow Shooting with guest photographer

   Venue: Sabah Auto & Food Carnival (Miss Autoshow)

   (29th / 30th September 2012)

> Final

   Venue: Sabah Auto & Food Carnival

   (30th september 2012, 7pm)

55th Malaysia Independence Day

31st August 2012 marks the 55th Independence Day for Malaysia from 1957. I don't usually include about politic (if it sounded politically) matters in this post but opinion about one's country Independence is a natural human thoughts so I'm going to share what my opinion towards Malaysia Independence. For a start I'm going to brief about a little history of Malaysia Independence Day.

31st August 1957 : (f.y.i - This information taken from Wikipedia)

On the night of August 30, 1957, crowds gathered at the Royal Selangor Club Padang in Kuala Lumpur to witness the handover of power from the British. Prime Minister-designate Tunku Abdul Rahman arrived at 11:58 pm and joined members of the Alliance Party's youth divisions in observing two minutes of darkness. On the stroke of midnight, the lights were switched back on, and the Union Flag in the square was lowered. The new Flag Of Malaya was raised as the national anthem Negaraku was played. This was followed by seven chants of 'Merdeka' by the crowd. Tunku Abdul Rahman gave a speech hailing the ceremony as "greatest moment in the life of the Malayan people".

On the morning of Saturday, August 31, 1957, the festivities moved to the newly-completed Merdeka Stadium. More than 20,000 people witnessed the ceremony, which began at 9:30 am. Those in attendance included rulers of the Malay states, foreign dignitaries, members of the federal cabinet and citizens.The Queen's representative, the Duke of Gloucester presented Tunku Abdul Rahman with the instrument of independence. Tunku then proceeded to read the Proclamation of Independence, which culminated in the chanting of 'Merdeka' seven times with the crowd joining in. The ceremony continued with the raising of the National Flag of Malaya accompanied by the national anthem being played and a 21-gun salute, followed by an azan call and a thanksgiving prayer in honor of this great occasion.

more about Malaysia's Independence Day

According to the tittle it said 'Malaysia' Independence Day but actually 31st August 1957 is only meant for Malaya independence which is the West side of Malaysia (Semenanjung Malaysia) it does not include Sabah and Sarawak yet. What I'm trying to say in my opinion is that Malaysia Independence Day shouldn't be on 31st August but instead it should be on 16th September where Sabah and Sarawak joined in and form Malaysia. Sabah Independence Day is on 31st August 1963 and Sarawak Independence Day is on 22nd July 1963. Federation of Malaysia is on 16th September 1963. It can only be called Malaysia Independence Day where all the 13 states has join together and form Malaysia. 

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that I hate my country, I was just stating my opinion like every citizen of their country do or may thought about theirs. Yes, I love my country no doubt about that and I love my state more, hehehe. Here I will end my story for this post. I'm sorry if I'm being selfish or rude for saying about this and offended people about my point of view. Jgn gitu ba kamu, kan kita 1 Malaysia jd pendapat adalah salah satu langkah untuk memperbaiki apa yg kurang (Idk if this has something to do with my post), hahaha.

Breeze Model Search Week Challenge Photos

Just as I promise, I will upload the photos of BMS week's challenge photos. We only done about 6 photos for the week challenge....So here's my final result of it...

WEEK ONE

On the first week challenge, we're doing a fashion show which is the Borneo Fashion Festival (BFF) held at Suria Sabah Shopping Mall. We don't actually have the photo for the first week, but I'll just show a photo of one of the clothes I'm wearing that 

If I'm not mistaken I was in the 12th place for this challenge....I don't really know how to catwalk 

like a real model..

WEEK TWO

For this week, we're are doing an underwater shoot! Yes, I am excited about this fact cause I've never done an underwater shoot before..hahaha...So here's my best shot 

Actually this photo supposed to be transverse but the photographer rotate it to 

counter-clockwise.....This photo is the 3rd best photo. I'm quite shocked that

I manage to get in top list..seriously..

WEEK THREE

Third week challenge is be wild!! When they said this I was thinking Lok Kawi Wildlife Park (which is correct)...and yes we're doing a shoot with a reptile, guess who? haha, is the albino python snake name Suria and normal python name Amber ( I did post this week photo on my previous post). My best shot

This snake on this picture is Amber, supposed to do shoot with Suria but she's 

been working with the other models from morning so they switch it. Another unexpected

things that happen is that this photo was chosen as the best photo :D I'm fill with joy

at that time, haha, who doesn't. The theme is 'Fierce Seduction', looks like more onto

fierce than seduction for me.

WEEK FOUR

My favorite challenge!! XD On the fourth week we're are doing a rock climbing shooting....Its like flying on air. But the hard thing to do for this challenge is doing a graceful expression while posing...It was fun though since I like an extreme challenge...My best shot

I don't really like this picture that they pick cuz I've done a shot which is upside down 

but too bad that the clothes was pulled up by the belt and expose my nude bra 

(curse you nude bra). This photo get me on second best photo...

WEEK FIVE

On the fifth week, we are doing a triple challenge. First is the Suria fm challenge where we recorded for voice over, it is done on friday though. Second is a photo shoot for Santola Coffee which is an editorial ad for Kopi Cap Kuda and third is doing a video a video commercial shoot for Santola Cafe . This picture is the second best photo, smile is one of my best

featured I guess, lol. The theme is, promoting the coffee (main idea of the picture)

while ignoring the two guys who seducing you. In other words, though you are

seduce by two guys, you can still make the coffee as your number one priority in this picture.

(am I confusing? hahaha, I think you get the idea)

WEEK SIX

On this week, the challenge is doing an interpretation of one of the 4 local ethnics dances into high fashion. Mainly the 4 local ethnics are Bajau, Suluk, Murut and Cocos tribes. We've been divided into 4 group and each group consist of 3-4 person. I was in Suluk ethnics (which I don't really familiar with Suluk's dance step). Here's my best shot....

I'm not really sure how to make a high fashion pose. My picture go down to

number 6 best photo (not in top list T-T). The reason why I went down is

because they said my picture look too traditional (since they want it in 

high fashion, can't argue with that). Felt really down when this is the result. 

But gonna keep moving on no matter how bad it is...

WEEK SEVEN

Week 7 is the talent night competition. Well, obviously we're showing our talent. On that day, I was playing sompoton, singing and a bit dancing...So its like a triple talent (boleh la..haha). Here are some photos..

WEEK EIGHT

For those who got through to the finals, we have another challenge but sadly I can't make it tho this week 8 challenge because of some circumstances. :(

Witness The Borneo Fashion Festival For The First Time!!

Borneo Fashion Festival was the first event that will be done for the first time in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Organize by none other than Jeffie Jeff himself. Some of the reason for this event to be done is for us, the local, to recognized the talent of our local people, also for people with the talent to exploit them self and to help them to achieve their dreams to higher level.

After so long Kota Kinabalu have never done this kind of fashion festival before...BUT THE TIME HAS COME!!! Prepare to be AMAZED by LOCAL TALENTS around you!!!! Its not only showing the model as one of the local talent, in addition there will be a showcase of Sabah young designers, creative make-up competition, and creative hairdressing competition. 

Below is the date, venue and show that will

take place on 4th and 5th of February :D (DO CHECK)

On the 4th February you will be able to see all 26 contestant of BREEZE MODEL SEARCH wearing the designers clothing!!! THAT WILL BE AWESOME to see the model in a runaway and present the clothes from the designers :D

There will be 5 designers and each designer will have 5 models to showcase their clothes and one designer will have 6 models. It has variety of theme as well!! Wanna know what? Then come join us to witness this exciting festival of the year!!!! XD

Trying Home Remedy For Acne Problem

I have a serious problem dealing with my acne and blackheads problem. Though I've tried all sort of products (but not all in once) I still can't figure out what products that suits me, from cheap to expensive products. So I've search on the net how can I solve this problem. 

Some says that it's from what you consumed. Fast food, fizzy drinks and sweet food (or anything sweets) are some of the food and drinks that make your acne become worst. There are loads of home remedies treatment for acne, so I decided to try one of it first, which is aloe vera. 

It doesn't prove that it will 100% make all your acne clear on from your face but its a good thing if I give it a try at least. So starting from now, I will try this remedy and see how it will turn out. And of course cut all the oily food and exercise regularly. Hope it will give a fruitful result :D

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals also known as SPCA is a non-profit organization that was established to prevent the cruelty to animals, giving them a shelter for the homeless one, feed them and giving them a loving and caring family not only among others animals but also a human companion. 

Another reason this organization was established is to spread awareness to our communities on how to prevent cruelty to animals as well knowing what kind of cruelty that afflict to these wonderful animals (in my perception). I strongly believe that if we as the society involved in this organization, we can gain more loving and caring value in our hearts and be more aware about the cruelty happen in our surroundings.

How To Put Follow Button/Box On Blogspot (Classic Template)

Hello fellow bloggers!! I'm doing this post since I'm facing with the same problem while editing my layouts

 .If you are using modern template for blogspot, this follow button is easy to get on your widget site. But if you are using a classic template for example like BlogSkins.com, you have to add the HTML code yourself. 

If this is the kind of follow button/box you want then you're in the right place.

First step: Go to Google Friend Connect (make sure you have a Google account
to work this out)  then something like this will appear (if you're logged in)

Second step: Click on the 'Add the members gadget'. Then this
will appear.

This is where you will customize your 'follow box'. There will be
three step to customize this box....

First: choosing your gadget size
Second: Choose the colour you want for your box
Third: Generate your code

Copy the code and put it on your template code :D
