The Progress with Acne and a Few Tips

Yup you read it right, my progress with acne, I started to have breakout at the end of 2011 and it got worst in 2012. And this year, one MAJOR thing cause my skin to get infectedsuper sayan onion head . . which is FACIAL. I really don't trust in going for facial and never did until this year on April. Which it will be my FIRST and LAST (name of the shop will not be mention here) . I will only go..again..if my friend have a good review for the service OR I have talk to the beautician about my skin problem and how they can help me with it.

Truth to be told, I was a bit excited that I got a great deal from Groupon, yes GROUPON. For this affordable acne facial treatment, but I should have known better that its all just for the sake of promotion. Okay, I will stop here for the moment as for now I am treating my acne problem under medication, and to add on, this is also what I do to help myself:

TIPS 1:
Drink water (whenever you can, when you woke up, before going out,
when you get home, before bedtime but most importantly DRINK WATER)

TIPS 2:
Avoid putting any chemicals products on your face.
(When I start to take medication, doctor advise me not to put any chemical product on my
face. So I will only wash my face and that's it. I will put mask either its natural such as aloe vera,
honey or white egg and mask that doesn't contain chemicals substance. And apply moisturizer if I'm
putting on makeup.)

TIPS 3:
I just started this one so I can't say the exact outcome.
(I'm drinking lemon juice now and apply the juice directly to my acne, especially
the scars. Just cut the lemon into half and squeeze the juice out, add either cold
or warm water and enjoy your fresh juice relax2 onion head There must be some of the juice left so don't throw the lemon straight away after squeezing  info onion head

This is as far as I will go for now, when my skin is healthier and better I will update more about it to share to you who have the same problem as me and who are going through this moment.

Dreams Don't Turn to Dust

I think it has been about two or three weeks since I came back from KL for Miss Malaysia Borneo Tourism 2014 competition which is organized by Persatuan Kebudayaan & Warisan Sabah (Kuala Lumpur, Selangor & Putrajaya. Also under the management of BConnect whereby BConnect gives the meaning: Connecting Borneo to The West and to The Rest of The World.

Miss and Mister Malaysia Borneo Tourism 2014 is a joint competition with female and male category, where 16 girls and 15 guys from Sabah & Sarawak compete for the grand title. I only managed to get two subsidiary titles (which is for me is kind of unexpected), so here it is:

1st picture: 3rd runner up for Miss Best Catwalk
2nd picture: Miss Friendship (though I even wonder why
and how did I manage to get this title)

On the first day I arrived, BAM, went for a shooting straight away and my heels got separate from its base
-_-" first photo is wearing the official t-shirt from BConnect and then second is clothing by the local designer. when I wear the second attire, I feel like.....

HAHA! seriously...check out the second picture

well  not 100% same la

Along our journey from 3rd May - 11th May, the committee member organize a few events which are Talent Night, Fashion Design event (where finalist is dressed with the local design clothing) and the pre-judging, where our knowledge about our own traditional wear according to our tribes, will be put to the test. On the talent night, since I have no more talent so I'm just okay with singing (that is all I have). I sang No One by Alicia Keys. I am confident but once I got up on the stage, DANG, nervous filled me up -_-" Thankfully my movement makes it less noticeable, hahaha.

On the following event, which is Fashion event, I must say that I am the only "exotic" person on stage, people were mesmerized, not by my beauty la, haha, but my painted face. Check this out...

When I'm wearing a designer clothing, I will always ask the design what facial expression
they want me to portray and this is what they want and BAM I nailed it.

Our designer: Maswira Majid (middle)

Got my first subsidiary title for 3rd Runner up in Best Catwalk

Top 5 Best catwalk (start from left to right):
Jane (4th runner up), Dewina (3rd runner up), Siti Shaqila (2nd runner up),
Kimmy (1st runner up), Rieta (winner).

Maswira Majid design (all black dresss)

The following event is PRE-JUDGING! Yerp where our knowledge about our own traditional wear is put to the test. Of course I am wearing my traditional attire from Tambunan which is known as Tinombunan. There is also a Molohingon Tinombunan which mainly wore by the elderly.

The instrument on my hand is known as Sompoton, one of Sabah's
local music instrument, during the years before it was played mainly by
Kadazan's tribe. And I didn't hold it just for the purpose of holding, I can
play it too :D but still need lots practice and learning.

To know more about Tinombunan, traditional attire that include the meaning of tangkong, himpogot, and the other accessories that I wear, feel free to give a comment :D

AND THE MOST CLIMAX EVENT IS......THE FINAL that was held at Bangunan Abdul Samad.

First round is the simplify traditional attire, since the pre-judging has been done, no more marks will be taking for this round and we need to simplify the attire since we are gonna change to other clothing in second and third round.

FIRST ROUND (Simplify traditional attire)

Introduction session

I'm really pissed by my fringe here -_-*

SECOND ROUND (casual wear by Pua Heritage)

backstage picture

excuse my silliness XD

We don't have an individual catwalk here to parade the clothes :(

THIRD ROUND (Designer clothing, mine is from Maswira)

I am seriously, IN LOVE with this dress and I secretly hope that the designer
let me keep this dress XD but unfortunately....no :(

Some of the journey moment, we traveled to some places in Putrajaya and even visited the most awesome and biggest mosque in that area which is the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque. We have to cover our whole body including our head, this is as a sign of respect for the sacred place.

With all the finalist (male and female) in front of the Mizan Mosque.

Visiting Kiwanis child care :D

Candid picture at Putrajaya Kementerian Kebudayaan and Pelancongan
(IF I'm not mistaken that is)

In the end of the journey, I have learn many things not only in friendship but most importantly on how we are going to keep our culture, heritage, tourism, tradition and nature alive especially in Sabah and Sarawak. As the theme for 2014 is Visit Malaysia Year, it is an opportunity for us to show what Sabah and Sarawak has to offer to the rest of the world and let them be exposed with all the amazing experience that no other place have except in Borneo.

SABAH, THE LAND BELOW THE WIND
SARAWAK, THE LAND OF THE HORNBILLS

Malaysia Borneo Cultural Festival 2014

BCONNECT gives the meaning: Connecting Borneo to the West
as well to the rest of the world.

In conjunction with Malaysia Borneo Cultural Festival 2014, Miss and Mister Malaysia Borneo Tourism 2014 is being held as to find a new ambassador for Borneo in promoting Borneo to the eyes of the world. As one of the finalist, i am proud to say that this event has taught me a lot about Sabah and Sarawak culture which is one of the important aspect in life especially for a Borneon that are rich in culture, heritage, tourism, traditions and our natural resources :)

I get the chance to learn about other culture as well apart from Sabah itself. This shows that bonding in terms of culture gives us the understanding of each other and for that I strongly recommend youngster should be encourage to learn more about cultures and traditions that we have in Borneo. In this year of 2014 which is the Visit Malaysia Year, we as the host should be proud to show what BORNEO have that couldn't be found in any other place.

Share your opinions, thoughts and how can we as Borneo promote our culture to the next level :)

Yours truly,

MGIM 2013 Day 1 (Miss Global International Malaysia 2013)

Now I'm gonna start my adventure and experience I had during my stay in Miri for Miss Global International Malaysia 2013:

From KK I took the same flight as my friend Cheryl and we arrived in Miri around 9 in the morning, well the distance between Miri and KK is not far kinda take around 15 - 20 minutes by flight.

On our way to Miri's airport I was totally amazed with the view from above, it was such an amazing view especially the nature and how big Miri is (and its only apart of Sarawak!!) .Once we reach Miri's airport first thing to do is none other than group picture (like usual). To be true this is the first time I join a competition that involve other state other than my own state (Sabah).

Soon after that, we make our way to the place where we will be staying for 10 days which is Eastwood Palace.

Welcomed by the person in charge and with a cool beverage. After the short welcome, then our next stop is shooting at Beach Republic (for book souvenir during grand final). The shocking part is, we have to bring our traditional costume, bikinis and other necessary stuff for shooting ON THAT SPOT. Yes the above exact same spot from the welcoming picture. Good advice is NEVER put your undergarment where it is visible.

At the destination, photo shooting is on for booklet purpose on the Grand Final. Hence the picture below, thank goodness my name is spell correctly, hahaha, since people often misspell it. I'm not sure if my body statistic is still the same now though. Oh and the number represent I'm contestant number 15 :D

Combination of all the contestant according to numbers. I seriously wonder why do I have such a thin hair but then again its better than having none at all. And finally the picture below :D

After the shoot, we've been asked to wear our traditional wear. I wore traditional wear from Ranau which is Garung Lipoi, Dusun Liwan, Ranau. And here's the Borneo's girls though we missing two :( Group by group picture is taken, based on our attire Baju Kebaya, Cheongsam, Saree and The Borneo's traditional wear.

Then lastly group picture like always.

In the evening we preparing our self for dinner (yayyy!!). And its white dress night :) To be true I just love food and I eat most of the food I guess, hahaha. We had our introduction session and one subsidiary tittle has been given on that night. And lastly, guess what? Group photooo.....hahaha.

Marks the end of Day 1 activity :D I'm not really sure if I can keep up with the rest of the days cuz now i have forgotten about it a bit. But I try to recall it. Till next post! :D

Yours truly,
